Talk to Robbin at Midwest Classic Insurance. 1-888-271-4000

I tried to call you back yesterday but your phone did not even ring and went straight to voice mail.

Get a quote from Tom at Northwest Classic Insurance as well. The policy is written through Infinity Insurance and has no mileage restrictions in California. Tom is really easy to deal with.

Check The Hartford (http://hartfordauto.com). They have good deals and IMO are fair with claims too. Ask for bundling home and car in one policy to save more. They have something with AARP as well. Some discount for members I think. The website would probably give you a better idea.

Another alternative that I use, with a CT agent, for the AMX, Corvette and Cobra, Collector Auto policy w/ agreed upon value:

American Modern Home
800-543-2644

They will advise you of the agent at your location

I pay around $500/year with State Farm with maximum liability and (I think) 2500 miles/year limit. They have always insured my cars with SF and they are great to deal with.

Default Robbin rocks!

This is worth sharing - I have a CSX and am insured with Hagerty. I also live in DC, which not everyone writes policies for. So I just gave Robbin a call at Midwest for a comparison. While he told me they can't write policies for DC, we had a nice chat and he told me to ask if Hagerty had classified my car as "stock" or "modified". Robbin told me they now classify CSX cars as "stock" and it's quite a bit less expensive.

I called Hagerty and they had classified it as "modified" when I bought the policy a year ago, but have since changed the underwriting for the CSX cars and have re-classed them as "stock". Savings? A bit over 50%!

Thank you Robbin!!!!

Thanks for the posts guys we appreciate it. We will be advertising on this site in just a little while, have to finish the ad, probably about a week away.

There are a lot of agents out there than can insure these cars. We really try to bend over backwards for the owners and help with whatever we can do. We have two different Companies in our office, American Modern Home and Infinity. We do this so we can give you the best options for your car at the best price. Most agencies only have one, why. because they negotiate the best for themselves financially.

I was taught 30 years ago when I got into this business a lot of teaspoons fill the bathtub and I think that is true. If we can help you great, if not we will try to direct you to the best place that possibly can. We are a small agency and when you call us don't worry about your policy number we need your name, you are more than a number to us.

Enjoy the weekend, think I'll try to get the new ride out for a little while as well.

I just set up the insurace for my new BDR through Midwest Classic Insurance. I called Robbin and he walked me through everything. It was a better deal than the previous company I was looking through. Cheaper and also will allow me to drive it to work a couple times a week where the other company's policy stated only for show and club purposes. Unlimited miles also.

Thanks Robbin!
