oil filter

Hey guys

What oil filter have you used on your 351 that would fit between the motor and the frame without a relocation kit?

Baldwin B34 is their short version. It should fit fine.

I have used a Wix 51515 in my 418W for 6 years now. Car is SPF 1735.

This is the shortest filter I could find for my 289. Upon inspection it is is of much better construction & quality than most filters you will find on the shelf at your local auto parts store. We spent so time with a wix expert going through their inventory to find this.

Wix 51311 and Baldwin B34 are both the same size and the best filters on the market. I wouldn't put a Fram on my lawn mower

Ford racing lists a short Racing Filter of the same quality as their current full size racing filter. It is actually sized after the short filter as used on a 2.5 Duratec V6 Modular engine and others, (FL820S), the part # is CM-6731-FL820. The threads may be metric (not sure), but with a little ingenuity and fabrication the threaded tube that the filter screws onto can be adapted or modified to allow the shorter "Ford Racing" filter to fit.
