Default seat and seatbelt mounts

Pursuant to the unsettling thread about the recent Cobra wreck that cost two enthusiasts their lives, how do our CRs stack up in terms of rigid mounts for both seats and seatbelts?

Also, given my current configuration of stock 3pt passenger car belts, does either DV or Don have a how-to on converting to 4 or 5 point belts (that hopefully doesn't involve massive cutting/reinforcement)?

Thanks,

JLW

PS - finally to the point of ordering replacement glass for my cracked windshield. Is Pete at CR the best contact, or would it be quicker to go through Finish Line? I'm guessing that neither DV nor Don are interested in being parts suppliers.

PPS - thanks for the engine analysis. I'll probably try my friend's Holley 750 first, and if it makes a big improvement, I'm leaning towards Edelbrock. FWIW, I don't have problems in the higher RPMs - all my stumbles happen at low RPM (at or under 2k) WOT conditions.

JW,

Keep in mind I have not belted/built them all...yet. But I honestly feel that a CR system is one of the best mounting system in the market.

However...aint there always a however! After my first CR's build so many years ago, that was the first thing I upgraded. It is so easy during the built and not that hard afterwards. ALL of our cars are now and have been 4/5-points since that first one.

Here is a link to an archived page I did a long time ago. I don't know what happened to the pictures. If you think you need them I will try and take more.

Upgrade those suckers...please!

DV
ps.. I just re-read the below link. Hell I couldn't do it without pictures I'll get some as soon as possible!
