Default Correct backing spacing and offset for CRII

CRII Cobra out of paint shop . LOOKS GREAT! Black with flat black stripe under 3 coats of clear, Started final assembly . I Want to change the wheel size from 15" to 17" but since the unfinished kit I purchased had inproperly fitted wheels I need help with the correct backspacing and offset. I want to run 285 40 zr 17 on 17x10 in the rear and 255 45 zr17 on 17z8 in the front. I have a Ford 8.8 rear, 4 wheel disc , 11" rotors with ECI calipers. Any suggestios or critism would be greatly appreciated

Default pics?

Hi
I suppose to get mine from paint in the next couple of weeks. (waited a year for it)
Also went with black and wondered how the flat stripes would look like.
please attach some photos.
I plan on simply drive it to a wheel place and have them try many different wheel & tire combinations and see what i like best.
I want to go with 20" low profile.

Cobra Make, Engine: Classic 427, I purchased it May 2005, the kit was bought in 1991. I'm not sure when it was completed! Installed GMPP Connect & Cruise 376/525 with T-56 S/M 3.55 gears about 2 years ago! 1/4 miles is with old setup!

I'm looking to upgrade to 17"s as well. Running an 8.8" but with drums on the rear, not sure if I'll go with disc? I'm looking at these,

I want to get as much meat on the rear as I can!

Default Team lll Wheels

I got mine from Team lll. I am very satisfied and they can tell you what back spacing you will need. There pricing appears to be even better than American Racing. http://www.team3wheels.com/.

Good Luck

It seems to me backspacing should be determined by the width of your axel hub to hub. They are not all the same. That will determine where your wheels and tires set in relation to you inner and outer fender wells. The offset that works for me may not work for you.
