Default Auto-to manual- Jerry R.

Jerry,
I forgot to tell you you, you will have to change gas pedal too. I used a Lokar pedal designed for a '65 Mustang and their flexible throttle cable. One thing extra you should do is to put a "stop" behind each pedal so it can't be pushed to far!

No worry's, do it, you will like it!

DV,

Thanks for the heads up. The car already has a LOKAR throttle cable, so adding one of their pedals should be do able. I probably already know the answer to this question but I am going to ask it anyway, to facilitate the changing of the pedal assembly and filling/re-enforcing the firewall, the steering column and dash need to be removed? Once again thanks for the advice. I am still contemplating this modification.........(actually I have been thinking about it for about 4 years).

Jerry

DV,

Thanks for the offer, I will keep that in mind but... but for me half the fun of these cars is the tinkering/modification and the satisfaction of knowing "I did that". There is a list of things that I would like to change and the automatic transmission is just one of them.

Your knowledge of these cars is greatly appreciated as I have aleady corrected some of the issues that have discussed here on this website, ie opening up the stock exhaust, correctly locating the rear end.

Jerry

PS. The check for the tonneau cover is on its way if not aleady there.
