Default Roll Bar Install

I have some questions for DV or anybody else thats put in one of the new roll bars. I got the "hoop" mounted. However, I have the third leg layed out and a pilot hole drilled. There's no way it's going to work without going through the corner of the trunk compartment. Based on the following I want to make sure the bar dimensions are right before I go any further.

I know these are higher than the original CR ones, but this seems quite high. Mine measures just over 17" from the body to the top of the bar in the middle of the hoop, and is over 5" higher than the windshield. It looks somewhat odd now, but I know that look can change with wheels, paint, interior, etc.

Also, the bend in the leg next to the door is right above the body hole so the grommet is quite distorted and the bezel doesn't fit around it.

These two things are making me wonder if a dimension got crossed up when it was fabricated, and is messing up the geometry of that 3rd leg??

Thanks,
Wade
