Default CRL fuel guage

Does anyone have or know where I can find a "CRL" fuel gauge (mechanical) and tach? I'm assuming the CRL stands for Classic Roadsters Limited...maybe? Any help is appreciated. Thx

Kevin,
If you have CRL, (Classic Roadster Ltd.) gauges then you have a rare find indeed! Unfortunately they are not made anymore and haven't been made that I know of since the very early '80's.

In all my years of building CR's Cobras I think I only put one set of those gauges in a build. And, that wasn't that long ago. I think a gentleman in the Chicago area had an old kit that they came in. I don't think he used them using a different set. His name is George Lamb and you will see him here occasionally.

In other words, "they" are probably out there, just good luck finding them.

You might try contacting Classic Gauges, then Autometer. They might be willing to repair yours?

Good Luck!
DV

DV,

Cool. Thanks very much for the help and contact info. I do have a full set (minus the fuel gauge) and would like to complete the set as opposed to replacing them.

Thanks again.

Kevin

@ Double Venom, What pray tell do the Classic Roadster gauges look like? As near as I can tell mine was built as a complete rolling chassis, cira 1990-1992? Org. owner couldn't remember. The gauges mine came with are some off the wall (Cheap) called (Elan GT ????) I could never find anything about them, ever heard of them? My car is being finished for the first time (April 2018) and I have gone with classic VDO gauges. Thank you, Tom.

My CRII came with Stewart Warner gauges. I did not build the original car. A full set of gauges is what?? around $300??

My CRII had VDO gauges. The lighting was very poor and they have been replaced with Speedhut gauges. You can actually see them at night
