Default Have you weighed your Classic Roadster

Just curious if any of you have weighed your car? The whole car or even the weight on each corner? I'm changing my coil overs in the rear and I cant weigh it properly while its all apart. I'm thinking of going with QA1?

thanks for the help in advance

There is quite a variance in weight. If we all have the same car, what might cause this other than the motor size?

thickness of the body, live axle vs. IRS, insulation under carpet, heater vs. no heater, battery size, aluminum block or heads vs. iron, steel bellhousing vs. aluminum, drum rear brakes vs. discs, 2 rollbars vs. 1, T5 transmission vs. TKO, aluminum flywheel vs. iron, bumpers vs. none, variance in weights of the variety of wheels that are chosen, different frame configurations-some that are longer than the normal 90" wheelbase, oil cooler vs.none

Those are just my initial guesses...

Using 4 corner scales mine weighed 2587 empty. It was 45% front, 55% rear. I think some of those posting on this thread should get theirs weighed this way, they might learn something.
