Greg,
CR's used a 1-1/2" piece of the door seal attached to the inside of the HINGE.
That's all it takes, no chipping the paint, no unnecessary hardware,straps, etc...unless you want to modify the door, door upholstery, etc. ??
PS. It goes right in the fold/bend of the main part of HINGE.
