Default CR Overheating Problems

I have had a CR for about 20 years. When I built it I used the radiator and fan that came with the kit. I of course experienced the overheating problem and found a post on another site that I applied to my ride, and it worked.

The problem was that the engine block does not fill properly using the fill approach used in the build book. To correct the problem I first drilled two
1/8" holes in the thermostat to allow all the colant to get into the block, and allowing air to escape. I next installed a tank that I purchased from finishline to allow a little more colant into the mix.

The car has always been at 180 regurdless of the outside temp even sitting for a long period of time running when the temp is 90+.

The cost was minimal.
