I pulled the trigger on a polyglass windshield after three broken windshields in one year and bam!! cant believe I didn't find this sooner. Easy to install, super light, super strong, clear and on the first day I got wacked and I mean wacked by a rock and it left a nick the size of an ant. It would have cracked any other glass windshield for sure.
Of course need to test it over time but so far so good.
Not the best pic showing windshield, but it should give some idea. Me and my son changing the oil.
I think they have two sizes one for a standard cobra an one for the newer Super Performance Cobras which have a taller frame. Call them and they will verify.
Two things to pay attention is measuring your current windshield geometry as it is in your frame now before you remove. Other is to get the soap they suggest when running silicone bead.
Another thing is you can tighten up all the screws no longer turning 1/8 turns praying you have enough bite but not to crack the glass.
No insurance help. Not concerned with that when a cracked windshield prevents you from being able to race when it happens on the way to the track. After 3 in a year I was sick of it.
Now as mentioned already I don't have enough history on this windshield so a little leap of faith here but similiar construction to fighter jet cock pits as the manufacturer claims so super strong.
Fortunately, a safety inspection is not a requirement in Sunny AZ. There are not as many regulations crammed down our throats as some less conservative states. (still plenty!)
