Cobra Make, Engine: Classic 427, I purchased it May 2005, the kit was bought in 1991. I'm not sure when it was completed! Installed GMPP Connect & Cruise 376/525 with T-56 S/M 3.55 gears about 2 years ago! 1/4 miles is with old setup!

Default Steering column

Replacing everything else just as well do the steering column. The manual says it's a Chevy Chevette but I'm no sure that's what I have! It measures 34.25" and 38" to the end of the shaft! Any suggestions?

Lightningrod,
My CRII does not have the chevy steering column. It doesn't tilt, doesn't have the ignition on the column either. Unfortunately I don't know what it's from because it was already installed when I purchased in '04. I think the measurements are about the same as far as length from what you describe. It has the VW turn signal hub. My ignition switch is on the dash and also a starter button. Look at Ididit products. They seem popular among the hot rodders.

Good luck
John

Thanks John, I have been looking around. I have installed a fuse and switch panel on the dash. It has main system power, ignition and started button! I have been looking at the Ididit stuff, guess I'll give them a call in the morning!

I used an IDIDIT 32'' straight column, works great had to get a little creative with mounting though but its good and solid.
