If you can't find something off the shelf to your liking, take a look at GP Headers. They made custom stainless headers for my Cheetah.

The headers for the CR are very different than any other kit used. And you have the added difficulty of it being a 351 block which locates the headers at a higher position in the engine bay.

Custom made will be the way to go.

The other option is to use an under-body exhaust system giving the car the look of a street style 427 car. You could possibly use Fox body style shorty headers down to the frame and then low profile (oval) mufflers tucked under the chassis. The tailpipes could either route over the rear end or exit out the side just before the rear wheels. No chance of "snake bite".

I seriously considered it for my car but the header cutouts had already been made when I purchased the unfinished kit.

Thanks for the feedback. Was thinking about the under car exhaust dumping in front of the rear tires but thought it would put excess heat through the floor. Was not aware that 351 exhaust ports sit higher. Thanks for the insight.

You can also get the headers and pipes from Shell Valley and then have someone modify them for fitment. That’s what I am doing. Having the headers “tweaked” and then the side pipes lengthened to fit. .

I just had East Coast Headers in LI NY build me new headers and side pipes. I dropped the car off and picked it up 10 days later. He built everything from scratch.

It going to be interesting, and a tight fit. I do think some of the posts realize the size of the The primary tubes for that motor are 1 7/8" inch. Most of those options work for 302's/351w's. Yours is a completely different ballgame. FE's clear better because of how the exhaust is, 4v's are massive by comparison. Pay no attention to the "port plate" crowd for that motor btw. I see a lot of restriction in your future. I would be worried about the passenger side clearances. Its' going to be custom, like modifying a set of Coyote headers. I did find these awhile back that should do the trick for you:

This pic shows the mocked up headers I sent GP Headers and the finished set they sent back. The dimensions were identical. They provided the parts needed to make the mock up.

I got the headers from Shell Valley and just ordered the side pipes. They will make a set with longer mufflers for the CR. Everything is Raw Steel that way I can modify if needed.
