Not Ranked
6 in a Cobra
Yeah Pat your right... It was kind of a weird thing to do.
But I knew this version of the Buick V6 could put out over 500 HP in race trim (compression 14 to 1) so I thought a "detuned" version could get close, dyno'd at 473 with 11.5 to 1 a "mild" short track cam, etc.
So far I'm really happy I did it though. Its different and runs great. In fact it runs too cold. I've got to find a way to get the oil temp up. It won't go over 150 on the street with the cooler blocked off. That isn't good for the motor. Any thoughts?
I like ALL Cobras but have to tweak the V8 guys once in a while<G> Although I'll readily admit that a V8 would still be the best way to go in a Cobra in most cases.
Regards,
