A friend of mine has a CR that was built in 95. But althoug the doors are longer like a CR, they do not have the "dog-leg" indentation at the front. They are just cut at an angle like a regular door. Is this a newer or older model?

Cobra Ed,
I've been building CR's Since the mid-80's,
I don't think CR's has ever changed their doors. By chance, could the car be a "Lone Star"? Maybe DonS can shed some light.

cobraed, There was a prototype body from Classic Roadsters that found it's way on the market that had the straight cut door at the front. This car is in Minneapolis. The Lonestar has this type of door as DV mentioned. I also believe the Excalibur cobra from Milwaukee was a splash of Classic and they also eliminated the dog leg. So my guess would be one of these 2. Otherwise someone did some fancy fiberglass work.

Badgerland Dream Cars of Appleton, Wisconsin built approx 20 cars that were also similar to the CR with eliminated "dogleg" in the doors. (Similar but not identical to the Excalibur...often mistaken) Excalibur has the recessed backup lights.

The Badgerland molds were sold to Excaliber and more recently resold.
