wiring problem
Don,
I finally figured out why fuses blew and the gauges weren't working. I inadvertantly wired the speedometer with wire #130
and grounded it. Of course it's a mechanical speedo so all I did was create a short. Gauges all work now but ,tach does seem slow. Could it be the dip switches? I'm glad I found the problem
but on page 3-75 #6 says 130 tach power. A foot note here would have helped, especially when you have neophytes like me working on electrical system!! Just a thought.
Art, glad you found the problem. I just installed a set of Stewart Warner gauges and had the same problem with the Tach. I called SW and they said Oh, you have one of those slow needle tachs! Send it back. The new one works fine.

Have you gotten around to connecting the windshield wiper motor yet? The factory instructions are very confusing, and if followed usually results in a dead short and blown fuse when the wipers try to park. Check back in here before you tackle this.
