Default Hub / Tie Rod?

I'm helping out a buddy on a CR that he bought. We just replaced the front springs with the correct parts. While in the process of doing that I noticed the Tie Rod was not completely seated in the Hub. I took a few measurments and the Taper in the Hub is smaller than the taper on the Tie Rod. I'm not sure what these part #'s are supposed to be, or what they come off of...but at this point I think the easiest thing to do would be to get the correct tie rod and see if it fits the Hub, otherwise I'll have to search out a Tie Rod that fits without knowing what the Hub is from. Does anyone know which Tie Rod should be in this car, and does the hub have to be modified to accept them. Also what Streering Rack should be in the car. Odviously somethings not right and I'm not sure which part/parts are wrong . Thanks in advance.
