It only looks big like this
Here's stock. Remember I have to go about a 1/2" wider all the way around to duplicate the orignal upward angle. 3.5 "s from the outside base to the inside of the hood. I will be cutting off close to a 1/2" going forward to clear the oval cleaner though. If not I have seen many hoods hang up on the front part of the cleaner.

Robert,
I thought it was supposed to go Friday, and even at that with this weather we are having it may not be done until Sunday or Monday. Humidity is slowing the glass way down.Tomorrow I hope to put the top of the scoop on and finish the inside, then the outside will be ready to finish. Sorry, I guess there isn't enough hours in a day. Still haven't even fired up the new computer or I'd send some pictures of where were at!
Sorry, I wish it would have been done on time for you. Of coursae closing the shop halfway through the day today due to hail and a rainstorm like I haven't seen in years hasn't helped any either.

Almost done then. Looks real good!! That looks like it will solve the problem just fine. When it is ready do you need me to bring anything up there from capteddie? That is if we can hook up.

Thanks
Robert

DV remember you don't have to prime the hood, just get ready to prime.

Thanks

Robert,

Thanks for the offer to make a DV run for me. I'll more than likely be driving over to DVs on the 12th. with my transmission and hopefully my rear lower control arms. That's pretty much the last thing that need to make the trip to Pentwater. Plus it give me a chance to see the progress on the build and hash out any remaining details with DV.

Thanks again for the offer!!! How your build is going smoothly

Huckelberry, if it isn't plugged in, it's on. (oops, it was turned off!)
Gotta put one coat of primer on it anyway. Part of the finishing sequence. Now it's all hand sanding/blocking.

Huckelberry,
I just put on the last "skim" coat of filler on it with all intentions of this being the last one. Hopefully I can put some primer on it this afternoon, inside and out(Remember doing one hood requires it being done twice!) If all is OK tomorrow early afternoon it will be ready to go. All in all it is the first hood I have enlarged and worked my skinny liitle fat butt off to NOT make it look like a Pro Street hood. I think/ hope you will be really happy with it, AND that it will work!
