Default Hello, my Cobra is on the way!

Hello all, I've been following the Forum for 4 years trying to learn more about Cobras. I first sat in one in a showroom in NY in 1965 when I was a high school senior and have always remembered how awesome I thought it was. Well, after retiring from a long career with FAA and armed with a lot of knowledge gained from this site and some local friends with Cobras, I bought SPF 2660 with a Southern Automotive 406FE and a TKO-600. It only has 1100 miles on it and seems like a really well built car. The assembly looked to be top notch! Anyway, I just got a call from the transport company that it's enroute scheduled for a Friday delivery! Needless to say I'm really excited, guess the wife gets to claim the C5 Corvette as "hers" now!

I plan to continue to learn from the Forum and hopefully meet some of the folks. I attended London last year as an "observer" although I had a great 8 hour Cobra ride getting there with Dwight from Florence, AL. Unfortunately I have another commitment this year, but there will be other events I hope.

BTW, my SPF is white with blue stripes, the same color I am remembering the one I sat in in 1965 to have been! I know it was white, just can't swear to the color of the stripes back then!

Joe

Congratulations! I wonder how much sleep you will get Thursday night. You almost waited as long as I did (1962-2008). Enjoy yourself you are old enough to realize just how quick these things can bite. So none of the usual warnings.

What are you doing Saturday?

We may drive over to visit Saturday?

If the weather's good Friday, I do plan on driving it over to Outpost. Also, I don't think we have anything planned for Saturday.......you're always welcome!

I'll check with Coach and some of the guys to see what they are doing Saturday.
I'll get home by noon Friday. That will give me time to clean up my Cobra.

See ya Friday night.

Dwight

Joe post some pics of your Cobra in the NACC.
