Default Classic Roadster under construction

Hello out there,

I've got a Classic Roadster under construction. It is taking forever, the guy working on it is as slow they come.

I was ripped off by the former owner of Classic Roadsters, Don Scott, when he took a nice fat downpayment and didn't finish the car because he had "financial problems". After two years, I finally gave up on him but I did get most of the kit back. Shipped it to Great Lakes Replicas who is supposedly buying the assets that were once CRII for remaining constuction.

Anyway, Don Scott not only didn't finish anything, he lost my seats and most of the interior, the spillwell for the gas cap, engine mounts and the longblock.

I just wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction on seats. I've looked around everywhere and can't seem to find anything that will fit for sure. The spillwell is apparently giving Terry a fit because he keeps saying he's trying to find one.

One last thing, anyone had any dealings with Terry Gatrel, has anyone ever had him actually finish a car?

badvnom, . . . Stand by for some sane responses from the folks who might be able to help you. Ed Combs (DV) should have some good advice.

It would help if the orginator of the thread provided more information as to where and when.

badvnom...that's not what we think of as an introduction.

If you want advice, ask the question without bringing up little slamming soundbites of your history with Cobra builds, each of which invites remarks.

sjelby...newbies with 12 posts slamming other posters? Might I suggest you walk before you try to run around here.

badvnom,

When companys go under there are usually still people that are owed something. Keep your chin up, we are all here to help (well most of us anyway).

One good thing is that pretty much other than the body and the frame, everything else can be purchased after market.

If you need anything all you need to do is post up and ask. You "WILL" get some great help from the members here on CC.

Sube Cobra SS seats will fit. They are very well made with a tubular steel frame and are more comfortable than most. Here they are:

If I'm not mistaken, FFR sells the same seats at $499.00 a pair or leather for $799.00. Sube wants $300.00 each.

Sorry, FFR seats are the same as the SR seats not the SS.
