Greetings, new member here and a newbie to AC Cobras. I am an experienced fabricator and restorer and have gone from street rods to 60s muscle cars, to Harleys and lastly to historic military vehicles, (WWII vintage)....about the only thing that catches my eye is an AC Cobra....so here I am.

Would appreciate some input on the best kits out there with the consideration that I am around 6'4" (and shrinking), so I don't want to get started in on a project that I can't comfortable drive.

I did receive some literature from A&C in Buffalo and they seem to be priced reasonably and have a gel-coat finish that if quality done, would be a savings over prep and paint.

I appreciate your comments and feedback.

New member here too. I'm 6'3" and after some research selected the Lone Star Classics kit mostly because it better suits taller drivers. LSC wheel base is 94" vs most kits which are modeled after the original design of 90". The additional 4" is all in the passenger compartment. I'm at the rolling chasis stage and so far so good with good support from LSC and other owners.

Default Kit car show in Carlisle PA in couple of weeks

To the new guys, WELCOME. The best thing I can offer is going to Carlisle Import and Kitcar show in May around the 12-14. Most all the companies are there showing there cars. This will give you guys a good idea about cobras. I know they all look pretty but don't forget to look at the rest of the car like welds, how the body looks, what drivetrain is in it. Bring a camera and take alot of pictures. This way you can digest it at a slower pace. Dave Kirkham may be the other company not there. He builds aluminum body, round tubing cars to orginial spec. They are works of art. It's the best east coast show we have. The london car show also would be a great place to meet cobra owners and get info. Take your time, do a little homework, and bring ear plugs because every company has the best kit car made. Rick L.
