The fact that it is an Excaliber doesn't make it more valuable than other replicas, IMHO. Here's a site that will give you and idea of the current Cobra replica market: 427 Cobra Country--Ford AC Cobra replica manufacturers SUPER-SITE

Cobra Make, Engine: Don't think I'll be getting a Cobra for a long time... Do have '94 RX-7 R2.

OK, let me translate my comment based on my odd sense of humor to something more direct.

I have a hard time believing that Excaliber was officially commissioned by Ford to build racing Cobra replicas. I believe that the nice old gentlemen that owns the car in question may have embellished the story of his car a bit. Some of us on this forum are used to being sold some snake-oil stories, and that claim about Excaliber just sound like another such story.

The incorrect spelling of the manufacturer's name is not related my sense of humor, it is just poor spelling on my part...

I thought they made fancy old fashioned Mercedi's out of big Ford Barges. Sorry, not meaning to be snarky but just sayin'. I haven't heard of them in any other venue.
(EDIT) I wrote without researching the topic, some years ago a friend of mine had a replica of a antique car (I think Mercedes) he called it an Excaliber. It was based on some kind of huge production Ford. This lead me to my above comment,...for which I sincerely apologise.
