Hey guys help me out here, what's Troll pricing?

Its probably low balling to get the punters in, but I would like a clear definition, I am fascinated by the term, kinda fits with some of the suppliers I deal with here in China. They promise the moon and then its hmm, oh, you want it delivered in a box, well, that's extra. Sorta like the err, deal we are discussing.

Mr. Mayor, wherefore-art- thou, there are in excess of 30,000 plus readers on this forum, so how about a response? Do the math, if less than 1% of those folks decided they liked what they saw that would wipe out your entire Cobra inventory and you would be in the tank and scrambling for additional volume to back fill the orders.

Not tellin' yer how to do your job pal, but y'all got a live audience talking about the products you sell.....what more motivation do you need?

No harm, no foul, just my two cents worth.

Cheers, tin-man

Patrickt, I do thank you anyway for giving me that explanation.:)

Had ERA engaged in anything even slightly similar, I would have hopped on the plane and headed right home. They didn't, however, and were actually about as honest and straight forward as anyone I have ever dealt with. In fact, the entire deal was "on a handshake," from start to finish.

If I have to explain it, then obviously my humor is either above or below you.

Well, I didn't get it. But I do remember that the "there are two kinds of men..." line was a running shtick in the movie, with Eli Wallach first saying it when he sneaked in the window behind Clint in that hotel. It's been many, many years since I've sat through that spaghetti western though.

Sorry for the error........prices were posted prior to completion.
We just moved to this new location and we missed some details.

It will be interesting when I get back to Phoenix to visit these folks just to call their bluff.

A hypothetical encounter.....

Hi, errr, I'm here to buy that yellow Cobra for US$42,900 that you are advertising, oh, what's that you say, err, I should read the fine print, wow, so you not offering the car for US$42,900, that's the roller cost, and oh dear, so I need add another US$45,000 for the Roush polished engine and what, another US$5000 for the tranny and wait a minute, there's more, I should add another US10,000 for the installation and US$3000 for dealer fees and prep, plus another US$1000 for delivery. Wow, so lemme see now, the new drive away price for this awesome yellow Superformance gem is now up to US$106,200, oh, plus the wheels, yeah, I guess we gotta have the wheels, so I add how much, another US$2000.for the wheels, hmmm so the price is now up to US$108,900, so why didn't you state that in the first place? You see Mr. Dealer, I read your add and talked my wifey into letting me buy your yellow Cobra for the US$42,900 based on the add an that's all I got see, so whadda we do now? Err, what.....steady on........there's no need to say things like that....... what...... the door is where.....yep, and the same to you pal.

Just my imagination folks, I am sure the live pitch will be much better and extremely entertaining.:LOL::LOL:

In any event the Superformance with the Roush and tranny combo will be well worth it to the guy who really wants to buy a turnkey Cobra.

No harm, no foul Mr. Mayor, its all in good fun, but remember you are advertising on Club Cobra and the members are not rubes, state the true price and let it play the course, somebody will buy it.:)

Just my two cents.

Cheers, tin-man

We are a new dealer and have moved to a new location, our web site was not updated.
Sorry for the confusion. Cobra guys know the prices of these cars we are not trying to pull anything. Trolling is for guys who have no clue what a Cobra is about.

Thanks for your correct comments.
IF guys would read the disclaimer , it will clear things up.

Dang, I hate that fine print stuff.%/ But while I have you here, can you tell me the true price for that yellow Cobra, FOB your doorstep? And second, does the warranty on that Roush engine run from the date one purchases the car, or does it begin at some other time?

Hey tin-man,
The great firewall blocks youtube.com? Have you ever tried to VPN back to a PC in the states.
I think this would work:

Let me just take this thread to the top in the hopes that THE MAYOR will answer my two questions regarding that beautiful yellow SPF.

This time I'm not razzing anybody; I'd really just like to know the true price of the car and when the warranty on the engine starts to run.

Are you potential buyer? If so, then pick up the phone and "inquire within." ;)
