Of course I'm a potential buyer, but I extol transparency. Others would no doubt like to know the price as well and I would be hesitant to "report a price" from a phone conversation for fear that I might misrepresent something that the seller felt was important. It should be pretty easy for him to just say "that car costs $____." What's the big secret?

Well, if you have to ask, then you can't afford it.

Or at least that's what I been told over the years.

You were told that by people who knew they couldn't afford it, but, deep down, still really wanted to ask.

Patrickt, The current price has a retail value that is stipulated at US$42,900 based on the advertisement. There is no mention that price is for the roller only. There is reference about a base price not including engine tranny and other dealer options but it does not state the retail price is the base price.

The clearly defined retail price is US$42,900 period.

Go for it.

And if a salesman worked for me, and posted an announcement about the new location of my business, on a car site frequented by reasonably well-to-do car enthusiasts who buy my product, and then did not check back on that site at least once a day, including weekends, I would fire his ass without giving it a second thought.

Unless that person were a handicapped transgender minority over 40 years old. Then you would have to start the process of a probationary period for him/her first, before you could fire anyone. ;)

No, I would still fire him, even if he was a forty year old minority handicapped transgender mutant from Katmandu. However, in that case I would also 'cc Jamo and include a healthy retainer check for him to take care of it.

Mr. Mayor, the devil is in the details, huh?

It seems what we are dealing with here is either a group of people or an individual player who really does not know how to sell Cobra's to Cobra enthusiasts but have had some experience is selling "normal" high end cars with some success and went and got the Superfomance franchise for the Phoenix area. They were probably advised by Lance Stander of Hillbank to take a look at the Club Cobra Forum and they decised to float an add. If I remember correctly this is the second attempt they have had in making some form of offering for Cobra's, but now its linked to a new location.

Based on what we have seen so far and the responses they have received there is a obvious need for them to rethink their advertising strategy if they want to make any headway on this forum.

I'm thinking Mr. Mayor you could consider holding an open house for all the Cobra folks from Arizona Cobra's as a start. For sure we'll set you straight.:LOL::LOL: Hell, I'd even fly in from China to attend that one.:3DSMILE:

Just my two cents. tin-man

Mr Mayor

Hmmmm......... I think Mr. Mayor may have been playing in the wrong field. Just another Dealer. Looks like the gang is going to keep him honest!!!!

Can we at least clarify the fact that the plural form of "cobra" is "cobras", not "cobra's".

Thank you.

I really do like the yellow look. I like Silverback51's colors quite a bit; note the different stripe color on his seen below. I'm not sure whether I like a black or white stripe better on a yellow car, and I came pretty darn close to going with yellow on my ERA build. I don't know why THEMAYOR won't respond -- that would drive me to another SPF dealer for sure.

I've always loved yellow cars like Vettes, Cobras, Porsches, etc. In fact, I owned a Sunfire Yellow '66 Corvette convertible for many years. I just don't think I could buy another one. I think bugs like yellow best.
