Default Info on history of Ace Bristol BEX 316

Not really a new member but not an active poster either since I don't own a Cobra but a 1957 Ace Bristol. Aces have been discussed here now and then.
For 14 years I have been trying to find out more information about its history. This might have included competition history.
The clue to this is in an article in the October 1970 issue of Road Test. I believe this US magazine does not exist anymore.
The leads in this article are what is written about its alleged racing history and the name of the then owner Rick Kimball who told all this to the journalist of Road Test magazine.
If you follow one of these links you can read the article for yourself:

There are also some more recent pictures on the car.
My question is does anything in this article and/or the name Rick Kimball ring a bell with you? The following US owners were Bill McKenna, David Belden and Derek Durst. After that it was exported to the Netherlands in 1996.
I would be very happy to find out anything that might substantiate the claims made in the article or indeed any additional historical info in general. Of course it would be equally great to receive some information that might help to eventually track down Rick Kimball, a commercial artist and a yachtsman at the time of writing the article. He lived in San Diego during that time and was formerly of Newport Beach. Hopefully he is still with us.
I would be very thankful for any snippet of information!
