Default Sebring Healey

Hello

I'm looking at the purchase of a Classic Roadsters Healey Sebring. The car appears to be low miles and well cared for. Built and titled as 1989 ford, 302, 4 speed, holley carb. I have been looking for sources of the small non ford parts - items that might come up in future.

door handles, tail lamp lenses, interior parts, Assembly manual/owners manual reprint?. I thought Classic Roadsters was still in business but learned on this forum that is definately not the case.

So where would these parts come from now days. where did all the body tooling go?

Other thoughts i had were to put in a t5 transmission if I do get this.

thanks
McQ

Seems to be a lot of Sebring owners (or possible future owners) on here lately. You can also check out the Sebring Owners Group on Yahoo.

MCQ,

There are a few of us around, I watch the Classic Roadsters forum here at Club Cobra. Apparently the CR Cobras are very similar to the Sebrings under the shell. The Yahoo group has good info, but doesn't seem to be as active.

Mine has a 302, C4 transmission, and 4 barrel Holley. Had it on a dyno recently, it was turning 280 HP. I have the build manuals for mine if you need them.

Steve
I may want to take you up on the manual offer. have not closed the deal yet. Current owner has no build info, so it will be a bit of a puzzle. Am looking at emissions for Washington state to see what I'm in for, (its titled as 89 ford so must go thru).

I had a Sebring MX I built in 1989. If I recall correctly, the door handles came from a Chevette, as did the roll up windows and steering column. The wiper set up came from a first generation VW bug, and the drivetrain from a Fox body Mustang. Mine had a 5.0 converted to carb, T-5, and 8.8 rear with four link and coil springs. It was a great car, but I wasn't that keen on the fiberglass firewall. I believe the 8.8 rear was the difference between the Saxon and the Sebring/Sebring MX.
