I have picked up a Shell Valley 1965 Cobra with a 351W that has a mild performance engine build to it. So far I have lowered the engine an inch to gain more space so I could install a 10 inch air cleaner. What a world of difference that made in power. Having came from the world of Ferrari and Maseratis it is sure nice to be able to go to an auto parts store and get most parts I need to fix it up. I think the reason for my Cobra buying was getting back to the old school of performance which was lots of power and very little weight. Or in simple terms a body with a frame and a big engine makes for lots of fun.
Welcome Leroy! You should come hang out with like minded folks in the KC Area. Check out Mid-America Cobra Club. Our next meeting is next Saturday - you should come out.

Hey Leroy you have a pretty good group of Cobra/Coupe/GT 40 owneres in the Kansas City area that you may want to meet. Great guys all of them and very knowledgable when it comes to finding parts or accessories. Enjoy your ride.
