I'm hoping that BDR eventually perfects their fast back hard top which I think actually looks pretty decent for a hard top on a Cobra Replica. Currently they said they haven't perfected the windows yet. If they do, then I'd seriously consider purchasing one down the road some. Having the fast back hard top will make it more usable in weather that's other than ideal. Of course, with a hard top, when it's on, that'll mean having to add air conditioning (it gets damn hot here in SoFL) and between the price of the fast back hardtop (4-5K?) and the air conditioning, the costs add up pretty fast.

I have a HT but confess I didn't use it much last year....I also bought a Soft top which came in handy for late summer surprise showers. Visibility in HT is much better than ST.

The wait is almost over. I just got off the phone with Frank from Backdraft Racing and my car, BDR #1351, will be ready by the end of next week. I plan on taking the day off from work to pick it up and take it out for a leisurely ride from BDR in Boynton Beach, FL, down the Florida Coast on A1A, to it's new home in Hollywood, FL!

Congratulations on the new car. I know you'll love it. I've had mine 7 years and every time I take it out I'm 19 again!! As others have cautioned, mind the horsepower. It's fun, it's exciting, and it's tempting, but it's dangerous. One other word of caution. Be very, very careful in wet/damp weather. These cars have unusually wide tires and don't weigh much and they will hydroplane at very low speeds. I speak from experience------I spun out at 24 mph on a four lane interstate highway. If you're ever headed to the Orlando area send me a note. I'm always looking to cruise!

Now the wait IS over. Picked her up last night and she's a beast. I couldn't be happier!
