Default T Topel

Hi I am new to the site , and cobras, and fords. So I will probably ask a lot of basic questions , so I hope you can be patient with me. I got this car its a basket case, I do not know who made it, body or frame and I need a fair amount of parts for it. It has a number stamped on it drivers side outside frame rail behind front wheel 2209759. On the bottom of the frame where the seats bolt on it has on drivers side 10-79 on the passenger side it has G&R these are put on with a welder It has a Jaguar rear end and a MG front end. I do not see any tags or numbers or names on the body I will try to load some pictures, any help will be appreciated.

thanks for your time,Tom

Hello Tom,

The frame looks to be an Arntz. The body also looks like the same. It may also be a Butler, but there would be a number on the front left portion of the frame starting in BR.

Do you have a MSO with the frame and body? If not, you may REALLY want to check your state laws and see if you can title it without a MSO. Most states will not even look at the car without it. If you do not have one, you pretty much have a pile of parts.

Good luck!

Ron

Default a little help

Hey bud, you and I have the same car/ issues. I also have the stamped numbers in the same place and the welded letters and numbers in the rear. It's my belief we own the rare few cars that were built after Ron Butler sold the buisness to G&R racing. I've done a complete rebuild on every component and have mine running now with plans on getting it registered this year in the state of Utah. It's my hope this state is lax on requirements since the shady history. Anyhow PM me if you want more pics or info. Thanks
