I've always thought a Cobra isn't a car you can casually enjoy like a Corvette or any other sports car. Either you love driving them or you don't - there doesn't seem to be much in between.
If you don't anticipate good weather so you can go for the first drive of the year, keep it polished in the garage between drives, post pics on social media and go to car shows to show it off and see other cars (including Cobras), and generally enjoy the time spent with, in, and around the car, probably should consider letting it go. IMO.

Bob,

You hit the nail on the head! Between my spouse/family/friends/car/motorcycle/ obligations, it's hard to justify holding onto this for another 20 years when I actually have the time (and hopefully) the money to enjoy it.

I know an enthusiast would really appreciate the car much more than myself. When the moderators give me the ability to post pics, believe me I sure will!

Fozzie,

I am sorry to hear about your Father. I hope that everything goes well with the Cobra and maybe later on when the kids are grown you can get another one if you want to. Take care.

I'm going to hold onto his 66 mustang fastback. That's the car I have my "life' memories in...and hope to make it a part of my kids life too!
