Default New owner from Switzerland

Hi Folks
after years of reading everything there is about the Cobra and dreaming of owning one my own, I finally bought a Contemporary Classic Cobra a few days ago. In Switzerland a few years ago it became almost impossible to get a registration for any replica Cobra and make it street legal. The ones that have the registration remain street legal and the prices for them just sky rocketed just like for genuine oldtimer cars.
Well, I am thrilled with my new baby and will be more on this informative and very active forum.

My car is a early Contemporary with number before CCX and with torsion bar. It has a stroked Ford Cleveland with 381cui Australian heads and did on the dyno 326hp and 480NM. It is not spectacularly fast but performs quite good.

There will be things to do but unfortunately I do not have any assembly manual nor wiring map. I read that some of you have pdf files, anyone maybe might send me these?

I leave with Beste Regards and a picture of my new toy

Ben

Hobbes,

That is a beautiful Cobra and congratulations on finally getting your dream car. Just take it easy until you get the feel for it and learn its idiosyncrasies as all of these cars have them and they drive differently from anything else you may have driven. Blas has some diagrams but I don't know if he has one for your car.

Ron

Very nice car. Nothing in my files for a Contemporary Classic but I can assure you that if problems arise, the Club Cobra family will be there to help you. The collective knowledge of the members here is staggering.

Congratulations! Beautiful Car!!! My wife and I just came back from a trip to Switzerland and Italy. We spent 6 days in the Lauterbrunnen Valley and will never be the same!

Hi Ben, and welcome. Looks like a nice car, and a CCX is definitely a great choice. You have some fantastic mountain passes close enough to you in Berne. Enjoy the driving!

Cheers,
Glen
