Today after 5 months and 2 weeks waiting, I received confirmation that my car shipped from BDR to Vintage. Not gonna lie it's been frustrating but hearing it finally got shipped feels like a big weight was lifted Car is far from complete and I still have a ways to go but I know the Vintage team will work their magic.

Side note: my Blackstone griddle got delivered yesterday lol its gonna be a great weekend & weather

dont let some of these grumpy old men defer you from your dream!!!!
I can however recommend spending a little more that you want and getting a SPF, ERA, Kirkham or a CSX car... these cars are all top shelf cars (I may have missed a few calm down) and will hold value. the KMP and CSX cars are all well north of six figures but you can get a nice SPF or ERA for $60k ish... (used) this way you will spend more time having fun than wrenching on your car as you stated you have "zero experience" PM me if you want... I owned an ERA (500hp FE and now and 650+ HP 482 CSX) and the ERA was a better street car but the CSX is a beast...

quick update (since last post 30 April 2021):

June 2020 - Initial deposit
Nov 2020 - #2135 arrived in Florida/BDR (paid same month)
30 April 2021 - #2135 shipped to VMS
5 May 2021 - #2135 arrived at VMS
12 May 2021 - #2135 returned (undercoat flaws) to Florida/BDR for replacement.
21 Aug 2021 - #2273 new car (identical spec) arrived in Florida/BDR
current status - waiting on #2273 to ship to VMS (assuming parts delays)

With winter coming, driving season will be over anyway.

I wondered what happened to your 2135, sorry that it had to be returned. My car (2170) came up to Vintage with yours. You are correct about parts delays, Jay says mine is almost done and I hope to have it within a month. Might get a drive or two in before winter. But next spring will be oh so sweet!

Wow - with that kind of timeline, you almost could've had an ERA!

Wow, around 3 1/2 months for the car to go from Florida to Connecticut. Did they push it all the way there? That's ridiculous!
