The top photo is an early 260ci car, no one makes a replica of that version! You can tell by the lack of side vents, and the winged Shelby AC Cobra badges, front and back. You could take a late model 289 kit and do some surgery to it, Would make a cool car! And yes, I have thought about it. Maybe a Herbie Hancock, white with red interior and 2bbl carb, tribute car?

You are correct. It's CSX2048.
I'd be happy to have - or build - a replica of that car
Cheers,
Glen

Check this out if you haven't seen it. It's only 9 minutes long and worth watching. A great Cobra and legendary Cobra owner. As cool as it gets, both Cobra and owner.

Picked up a car, now I can begin the journey.
Just arrived, an 82 Aurora Cobra. The story behind the co is pretty wild and I have hundrheds of docs filled with the original paperwork etc. Car drives nice and looks pretty good. Only complaint is I NEED MORE LEG ROOM!!!. Seems taking the seat rail off and bolting to the floor will.pick up a bit. Any suggestions? I am 5 11
and 180. Heres a short vid of the delivery.

Have you started the CA registration process yet? Will you be going the SB100 route?

But its not pre-1975 so aren't you subject to smog inspections?
Unless, if I recall, the Auroras had rear exhaust with cats. Is that correct?
Congrats and welcome to the Cobra community. You're gonna love driving that car.

Legenmetals, on here, did a 260 tribute car that is incredible. Has a real 260 with Webers. An immaculately done car! I think he was thinking of selling it at one point... probably is on here somewhere.
