These cars are light enough and our engines are potent enough that you don't need 3.55 even 3.23 or 3.08 gears to make them quick. A 2.73 or 2.92 rear with a good torque engine will still be uncontrollable in the first couple of gears.
When you get on the highway the tall rear gear and the 0.82 TKO/TKX overdrive will just feel like the next gear and your engine speed will be down in the normal range. Even better your hearing and driving tolerance for the car on the highway will be much improved.
