Default Hello + having PM issues

Hi All,

Hello from across the pond (UK), long time reader so thought about time to get involved.
I'm about to start my Cobra journey using an AK Sportscars chassis and a 90's 'nascar' derived SBF that im having built in TN at the moment.

I am sourcing bits and pieces to bring back to Blighty with my engine, box and wheels and im trying to PM a member on here regarding something they have advertised.

Is there a minimum post count in order to do so? My messages dont seem to be going through to them and do not appear in my sent items etc.

Any input would be appreciated!

Many thanks and look forward to picking your brains when i need advice!

Chris

Hello Chris, and welcome.
Yes, I think there is a minimum number of posts required before you can PM another member. The number would be small, so persist and you’ll easily get there.
An AK? Tell us more about it and also that engine. I’m in Australia, so I’m physically remote from most members on this forum, but you will probably find Club Cobra as friendly and useful as I certainly have.

Cheers!
Glen

My replies etc keep being sent to a moderator for review, can’t understand why.

The AK is a space frame chassis which uses modified jaguar front and rear suspension and differential.

My engine started out as a Yates headed 358ci which was then stroked to be used in a pulling truck.
It never made it as dropped a lifter on idle and I bought it all for a good price.

Now it is:
9.2” Siamese Ford motorsport block
402ci
4.131 bore
3.75” Molnar crank
6” Lunati ‘signature’ I beams
Custom Ross pistons for 11:1 CR
Custom ported FTI 225cc TF High Ports
Dry sumped
Custom cam (around 260/260 mid .600’s lift @0.050)
Jesel belt drive

Will be using Efi Hardware’s billet IDA tapered ITBs. 55-53-50mm.
Mounted on a classic style cobra twin water neck intake manifold that I’ll cut up. Will mount to each bank and make a custom valley plate. Then ran by DBW.
Should give me a nice responsive 600/650hp (I hope it’ll be responsible and drivable anyway!)
