Looking to buy soon - SE Wisconsin
 Hey guys,
Ive always wanted a cobra kit car after seeing the FF builds back in early 2000s which were much cheaper then! Boy have the prices gone up but I know the quality has increased massively. Im doing my due diligence on all things cobra replica but outside of sitting in my neighbors coup which I COULD NOT really fit in, I havent had a chance to really talk to anyone really knowledeable about what to look for, what not to do, changes etc.

Anyone in the SE WI area or close by have one that wouldnt mind showing me around the car?

Welcome to the forum. I have only been here a short time and I have already met some amazing people that are very knowledgeable. Seems like they make a Cobra for every budget and skill level. |

By what measure don't you fit? There are some adjustments to seat placement, foot box construction and pedal placement that can help but we really need to know more.
But these are all minor adjustments. Some people literally just won't fit...

PS. I didn't fit in Superformance because the steering wheel sat on my lap. The top of my head still stuck above the windshield of the CSX.

Welcome! I am also in SE Wisconsin. Send me a PM with your contact info and we can talk or you can come by and see what I'm doing. I also had trouble "fitting" into most Cobra replicas.

 | He probably can’t PM because he is new. I couldn’t unless someone messaged me 1st |

Psagat, I sent you a PM with my contact info. I am also 6' 2". That is one of the reasons I looked for a Classic Roadster 427. But there are other options we can discuss.

				 Hey...
it seems like this topic pops up once or twice a year... check out this thread on big guys in a Cobra: Size “Issues” It will lead you to Unique Motorcars, who built a car for 7'1" Bob Evans. If he can fit, then just about anybody can! Call them to talk, even if you don't buy from them. They have been around the longest of any Cobra manufacturer! They know their stuff. Good luck and keep asking questions...

Sorry guys, been a busy couple of weeks. Thanks for all the replies! Ive got it narrowed down to backdraft with the lowered foot well. Im thinking new since I guess a bunch of shops will work with you to ensure you fit in your car lol. Looks like vintage is what a lot of people go with but prices are kinda crazy right now? |

Most likely you're looking at next year for delivery plus whatever time it takes to finish it to be on the road. Especially if you want customizations.

Find something you fit in and you could be on the road yet this summer. Find candidates and spend the money on an airline ticket to try it on though.
