 |  Since the two manufacturers you mentioned are so far apart in build and quality, might I suggest you find a local Cobra club, join, and review the cars up close and in person. 50K will get you a nicely built small block cobra, but before you jump in with both feet, you really need to educate yourself as to the difference...Even in the minor differences between the early, mod, and later design and offering for the two you have zero'd in on.
 
Regardless of what you decide to potentially purchase, make certain you get a pre-purchase inspection, as there is more to a Cobra replica than a shiny paint job or chrome under the hood.
