Hello Modcar9,
We do not know what kit you have or any details but you have maybe 3 options I can think of right off the top. The first and easiest would be if you could use the Corvette header and sidepipe kit manufactured by Hooker. Look at my web for photos but they are a clean set up and look nice if they only fit your chassis??? The second is to use either stock manifolds or block hugger shortie headers that use a J pipe to then enter the sidepipes (this is common for many manufacturers). You can also do what ever to get to exterior of the car point and then try Patriot dummie sidepipe kit and hooker kit. Patriot's do flow through sidepipes but not in all 4 pipes. I think Jegs and Summit have them but try search for Patriot sidepipes on net. The last option is to spend the hours to custom build a header and the whole 9 yards.
This is not a chebbie specific problem or issue and is something faced by many for tons of reasons. If you can get the Hooker set up to work it is expensive but less than a custom set up. Hooker has built these for decades and fit the C3 Corvette 1968 to 1982 and others in the real world. GO GET EM!!!!
