There are only 3 justifiable reasons for doing anything...:
1) It's needed in a functional sense
2) It's a value-adder
or
3) It's going to look really cool.
Yeah, I like reason #3 just as much as reasons 1 & 2. 
And who says it's not needed? Someday that car might be out blasting around Willow Springs in the middle of June- When it's 105 out, that track gets HOT....
.. And your car will be ready for it, haha
