The painter has started working on my car after sitting in his shop since March 2020. He has fitted the doors with the correct spacers I forgot to send him, bonded the inner and outer hood panels, opened the scoop, and attached the hood

I was pondering adding vents and drew them to see how they might look. I’ve abandoned the idea

Sounds like you're past the idea now but here's a picture I found of Bruce's hood vents on a 289 Comp body....
