ooh. I bet that is a lot of fun!

What PS pump did you use? I would imagine this is a custom bracket.

ziggy75,

It's almost as much fun as the Cobra ;-) Set up for road racing.

I used a stock Mustang (199? vintage) pump. It works fine.

Possibly your crank-mounted pump would be OK.

I do use a small oil cooler in the return line from the rack to the pump. It was necessary due to the track use. For street you might not need it, but I'd recommend one just to be safe. The one I use is like this one: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Derale-13200-Power-Steering-Cooler/dp/B0006HNM66/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1415390610&sr=8-2&keywords=Power+Steering+Cooler"]Amazon.com: Derale 13200 Power Steering Cooler Kit: Automotive@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41CoUzCJTEL.@@AMEPARAM@@41CoUzCJTEL[/ame] You wouldn't have to use this particular one - anything similar would do.

Tom

A small update on my project. I pulled my dads 36 Mercedes out of the garage to get the frame out from where he had it stored. Removed a bunch of junk off the frame and realized that he put the rear end back together. Thanks Dad! He must of done this before heading to Georgia for his transplant. I guess all I have to do is remove it from the frame, get it cleaned up, and paint it.

After I get this cleaned up, what do you guys recommend for paint? I kinda like the hammered or textured look. Not sure who makes a durable paint for this. I know there is rustoleum but I would rather have something rock hard like POR-15
