Default Windshield Angle

I am nearing completion of my CMC kit. I have the windshield fitted up but do not have it bolted down. The angle looks good but I have not found any reference to a preferred angle of installation for the glass and frame. Is there a norm for this angle? Not sure if I am explaining what I need very well. Would it help if I posted a picture?
Thanks
Chuck

put it where it looks good, usually 45deg,+/- a couple. I have seen some too vertical and they make the car look like a kiddy-car.
If you have a top, that will determine the position of the top rail of the windsheild.
Do a search on this forum. Subject has been discussed before.

Make sure you sit in the car with your seat mounted and have someone hold the windshield. You don't want to mount it and then be looking directly at the top chrome strip. I stood the windshield up a bit on my unique because I am tall from the waist to the top of my head. Congratulations you've gotten this far.

Thank guys. Good advice. I reread the CMC manual and it did give me a 26" dimension from the top-side windshield frame screw to the corner of the rear door opening. I have that set perfectly and the angle that LMH showed comes out to 42-43 deg. I think I am good to go.
By the way, My seats came in today so I am ready to finish mounting the roll bars and the seats. Add in the carpet, speedometer cable, fuel tank and I am ready to fire up the engine for the first time (fingers crossed on that one).
Again, thanks for the comments and help.

HI Chuck,
The best I was able to narrow it down to years back was 45 deg. measured in the center of the glass (side rails will give you different numbers). The refs Larry and Pete gave you were for 289 FIA cars which have the windshield raked back farther, so take that into consideration. I greatly prefer the FIA rake.. really makes these cars look right! The CR drawings show the windshield post mount holes at 55 deg. if that helps.

Mike.
