Default 427 Rebuild

This is an older Kirkham that needed a little tidy up here and there, well you know how that goes
I decided to strip the car, and start over,

Back from paint, looking fantastic.

Let the build begin!!

The paint is guardsman blue, imo the color looks great.

The frame powder coat was in very good condition, so just needed a quick clean scuff and a new coat of black epoxy.

Looks great now!

Great colour!
It'll have side pipes, by the look of it?

Got a few more panels made up today.
I think black leather for the rear bulkhead is in order.

I finished up and installed a couple more trunk panels.

Also installed the rear bulkhead, finished the covering up, coming together nicely.

Thanks

Next up is fitting the radiator, I made up a new top plate for the rad to look more like the originals.
Once it's painted black it should look nice.

look how low the holes are for the heat shield over the brakes, mine on my CSX are an inch higher and the heat shield hits the pipes... This confirms the person who installed mine was drunk... add to the list of assembly issues with the CSX

Next up, fitting wiring components to the firewall etc.
Voltage regulator on passenger foot box, (think I will paint that blue cover black)
fresh air valve to the foot box installed, wiper motor mounted.
Time to make up and fit the dash then roll out some wire!
