Default 427 Rebuild

This is an older Kirkham that needed a little tidy up here and there, well you know how that goes
I decided to strip the car, and start over,

Back from paint, looking fantastic.

Let the build begin!!

The paint is guardsman blue, imo the color looks great.

The frame powder coat was in very good condition, so just needed a quick clean scuff and a new coat of black epoxy.

Looks great now!

Great colour!
It'll have side pipes, by the look of it?

Got a few more panels made up today.
I think black leather for the rear bulkhead is in order.

I finished up and installed a couple more trunk panels.

Also installed the rear bulkhead, finished the covering up, coming together nicely.

Yes, looks really nice.
What percentage of the sheetmetal are you remaking and replacing?

Cheers,
Glen

Wow! So apart from those panels, the frame and the body, almost everything will be new or refurbished? How sorry a state was it in originally?
Is it for a customer or a "spare time" ( ) project?

Keep posting!!

Cheers
Glen

Apart from those few panels, yes everything will be new.

This one was a stalled project a good friend sold me, I have decided to make this one into an authentic copy of a 3k sc car. The car will be finished similar to Kevins red comp car we just finished, (Mongoose930).

Passenger side finished up, lower panel for drivers side ready to cover, the 2 holes are for the roll bar to slide through.
