Back in 1965, I was a young apprentis in a Ford dealership in upstate NY. I worked on an original 289 FIA with RHD. It started my love affair with the Cobra. I contacted the Shebly registry this year because I've never seen another RHD Cobra. This is the reply I got back from them -
" The car's serial number is COB6047. This was a green RHD Cobra originally sold in England to a H.R. Owen. It was sold to J.A. MacPherson 7/7/65. At some point it was exported to the west coast and around 1970 was purchased by a guy in Venice, CA. It was eventually restored and sometime in the 1980s was converted to LHD. Last we heard it was in California."
The point here is the COB serial #. Which I believe is a reflection of the age of the Cobra.
