Alex, do you specifically want the Excalibur? The Classic Roadsters is what Excalibur used as their model. The only difference being in the front of the door. I have 2 used Classic Roadsters Cobras for sale. We also build new ones with more interior room than the Excalibur. Let me know if I can be of any help.

This one is new. I helped the customer build the chassis and assembled the body. Paint cost was over $8k. It has a 360hp 351w. 5 speed trans, Ford 8.8 3:55 posi rear, VDO, tilt, heater, stereo. Very nice car and drives fantastic.
$36K

Good write up Cobraduke, covers the bases well. I miss my old Excal, hard to beat for a everyday driver, reliable as Sunrise and Sunset. I loved the extra room. I doubt you will find one for sale in the 20's, mid 30's is more likely. Either way, Classic Roadster or Excal, good call.

I second that, great info. I
actually used to be a dealer for the Excalibur Cobras, hence my obsession to get one back. My mind is probably "polluted" based on what we paid for these things new. I'm really hoping to find an Excal with low miles, a/c and a top for mid 30's. I may have to hold out until fall, but more than willing. In the meantime, I'll re-check his post at least twice daily!

Finding an Excalibur
I think there is one for $37,500 in Odessa Texas, about 9K miles, AC, top, etc. as I recall. Do a goggle search for Excalibur Cobra, scroll down until you find "Replica Cars, Cars On Line", click on it then scroll down until you find it listed as Excalibur Cobra. Looks like a nice car.
Don't forget to check ebay often, I've seen five sell there over the past six months, $32K to $39K, all looked nice, low miles.

Mike,
Thanks for the info. I actually had already contacted the owner of the car in Odessa. It's not quite what I'm after. It's had some mods that I don't care for. I've been watching eBay like a hawk. I'm sure I'll find one worth the money soon enough. Naturally, I've got more time than money

Mu buddy here in Hawaii (bought the car from me) said he would let it go for $35K, but he's not looking for offers. IF someone offered that, he would consider it, sort of thing. 95 Excal, non A/C, great shape, about 25K miles.
...just for a reference on value.

Excaliber,
Thank you for the reference. Is his car red with white stripes? I think I have seen it for sale. GREAT looking car. I'd like a dark color, but would settle for silver. I was actually a dealer for these cars when they were new. We carried them from 94-97 and I might be getting one of my old customer's cars back. That would be perfect! In the meantime, the hunt continues.
thanks

Red, white stripes, but never been offered for sale. I was the 2nd and 4th owner. The car was picked up from a dealer in Illinois when new and shipped to the "Big Island", Hawaii. I bought it at 8,000 miles and put many more on it. The current owner is pretty much a daily driver.
4th owner? I sold it, missed it so much I bought it back within a couple of months and had to pay the guy I sold it to an additional $3000 to get it back! I might STILL buy it back from the current owner, just call me 'boomerang'. I love that car!
The current owner took the wheels apart, all those little bolts that hold the two peices of wheel together. He had the centers powdered coated black and all the little bolts chromed. He then had the the 'wing nut' chromed. He ran a bead of silicone around where the two halves of the wheel come together and bolted it all back up. I was in SHOCK, I thought he would ruin the wheels! They work great and LOOK FABULOUS!!!
... but lets not talk about the 'neon lights' that now grace the car in several areas. I told him, "OK, some neon lights, they look great, but if I EVER see a 'wing' or 'fart can' mufflers on it he CANNOT park by me anymore."

Man, you want to hear a good one? Well, I've been thinking I'd wait as long as it took to find my Excal, when out of nowhere, a 66 Corvette convertible falls in my lap. Matching #, 4 spd, 327 350hp, Factory side pipes, loaded with documentation and a GREAT deal. I pulled the trigger on it last week. Here's where the story gets good. I was in Kansas City on Friday at a car auction and there was an f'ing blue 95 Excalibur Cobra. Blue, A/C, top, 6k miles. EVERYTHING I wanted. It was a little edgy, A/C did not work, but a little TLC would have made it an amazing car. Needless to say, I'm out of money, but I still bid it up to $28k with intentions of selling it or the Vette. It sold for a few hundred over that. I'm pretty sure it will be popping up on eBay in a week or two. The guy that beat me out on the bid has been mentioned in this forum before.
I went over the car with a fine tooth comb if anyone wants my take. I'm certain it will be all over the internet for sale shortly.
So much for my patience

Ahh, nevermind on the color question on Alice's car. I'm familiar with that one too. It's actually up somewhere in Michigan or Ohio (It's been a few months since I talked to him about the car) and belongs to an AG Edwards broker. Nice guy, talked to him serveral times. It appears to be a real nice car with some slick upgrades.
