				 Contemporary with 427 SO.....$30k
I've decided to part with my Cobra.
Here are the specs:

Engine: 1968 Ford 427. Bought as a crate motor from Ford and has never been apart. Engine has about 7k miles on it.

Trans: Ford top-loader 4-speed. Shifts very good.

Rear: Jag rear, ind. suspension, in-board brakes.

Condition: 3 to 3-. The car is not perfect. It needs cosmetics mostly. Runs and drives great.

Extras: Has both soft top and hard top. Has an original, extremely rare luggage rack.

See my gallery for pics.

If interested, e-mail me at jlm2200@bellsouth.net .

Or home 321-452-2200, cell 321-698-8949

I tried to let it go about 8 months ago, but I got cold feet. I guess now is the time.

Thanks,

John

I'll post more this weekend. My digital camera takes better pictures in direct sunlight. By the time I get home from work, it's almost dark out.

 John,
Sorry to hear you are parting with the car! It will make someone very happy I am sure.

This has got to be the deal of the season on the "Cobras For Sale" page. Contemporary with 427 backed to toploader for only 30K.....
Wish I could buy #2 right now.

 Jeff

 Jeff:

Thanks for the kind words. I'll be sad when it goes. I know who ever buys it will be very happy.

Someone very lucky is going to get a sweet deal.
I wish I could convince my better half that I need another Cobra.

 Good luck, John!

 Cheers!
 Dave

 John,
Did you rate it a 3 out of 10?

I'm curious to know why only a 3. Price seems lower than I'd expect for a contemporary with an FE. It's hard to see any cosmetic flaws in those pictures. The car looked pretty good to me.

 MT:
I guess I should have clarified the scale. It's a 3 to 3- on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being the best. I read Hemmings a lot and that 1-5 scale thing they use just stuck in my head I think.

The car is a "10 footer". The paint has a really good shine to it, but it has some bubbles in the paint on the top side. It looks as though is has water drops on it. The original owner left the country for about 6 years and covered the car while he was gone. I understand paint "breathes" for a few years and the cover prevented it from doing so...thus the bubbling on top.

 John

PS I'm not out the Cobra scene. I'm just ready to move on to another Cobra. I really like the FIA style.

Not just an FE, a Side Oiler. WOW, I'm depressed that price is so low.

 John,
I knew there had to be some other scoring scale in mind.
I'm maybe one year away from being in the market . . . I hope I can find something of such good value when my time comes. Good luck.

What kind of Guitar costs $20 Large? Heck I've got a '69 335 and a '60 P-Bass among 15 others. But nothing that high end.

oh yea the new fender 'blackie' relic exact copy of eric's that sold for 950,000 . 275 total run. custom shop. i think 20 is too much but i'm sure they will sell. i've a regular blackie awesome by the way and a martin bianca beautiful, bianca should go up in value in a couple years. probably end up family heirloom. i got it to sell down the road but i doubt wife will let me. also looking a gibson V hendrix saw one for 5,000 yesterday should have got it but it's gone now.6,500 lowest i've seen on that one. few years 10,000 i guess. so of these are a great investment.. 30 for this cobra is a steal in my opinion. very tempting. but i've got one. should be greatful and stop wanting so much. Mark G. have fun

John, I have a friend that is the market for a Cobra. He lives in South Ala. How far are you from the state line?
Thanks Dwight algunruner@aol.com
