American Modern Insurance Group gave me a pretty good rate. They are a little relaxed as far as their speed at doing things. However a decent rate.http://www.amig.com/collector_vehicle.html Last edited by Ralphy; 12-27-2009 at 09:49 AM..

I have mine thru State Farm, it's locked in at $70K replacement, I'm allowed 1500 miles a year and I pay a little over $400. I got lucky I think because my house, cars, boat, life insurance are all with State Farm. |

I have Erie Insurance. They will put whatever value you want and could care less about what you do with the car. It costs me about $200/year. |

Barrett-Jackson branded the AIG Private Client Group. Check the BJ website. I moved all of my policies to their rep (DELP) including my daily drivers and homeowners. |

Maybe because it's registered as a '65 and they consider that collector car insurance? I have mine with Hagerty instead.

Last year I changed to Robbin at Midwest Classic. I'm paying about half of what I was paying for the same insurance. You can email or call and talk to Robbin, not like my old company.

A LOT depends on your agent. An agent can turn down insuring your vehicle for a variety of reasons if they want. My agent will insure anything. The biggest issue was the Vin. It only has maybe 8 or 9 numbers if I recall, and this threw everything into a tizzy. They got it taken care of.

I quoted through Robbin, but to be honest, he was a bit much when you started adding the miles you drive. Still, a great deal for many though!! |

I was told Hagerty may only do it for CSX cars, don't know if that's true though.

I use the Barrett-Jackson coverage. I bought it last February from DELP before it got the BJ branding. I got the renewal for my Cobra and 2008 Barrett Jackson Shelby GT Mustang.

Liability premium for both cars is $161

Loss (comprehensive/accident) is $745

That's $906 per year for two cars.

When I signed up I was told the coverage was through the AIG Private Client Group. Since then the AIG PCG has "split" and become Chartis. It still feels like there is a relationship with AIG. It doesn't bother me but it might some...
