Default DrTires = Malpractice

drtires drtires

3 years ago I made a mistake and bought tires on eBay from DrTires. They arrived with obvious dry rot. I complained and heard "I didn't see any" but he soon agreed to accept their return and pledged the return of my $800.

Someone close to me died around then and in the fog I did not ride heard on this issue. Ebay was NO help and for the last three years I've tired to collect my money and had no success.

When I contact him he get's indignant and then stops communicating. So I'm going to do some posting and suggest that dispite a strong rating on eBay he's someone to be avoided.

My best to all of you.

Brian

Brian, I don't mean to be a penis and I may be missing something, but I just looked at his "for sale" items and all I saw were used tires. If you bought used tires, really, what did you expect?

This topic was the subject of your FIRST post on this forum 3.5 years ago.

Bad Place to buy tires on eBay

There hasn't been much participation here by you in the time between.

We prefer the Consumer Watch forum to be used by our members to seek a resolution.

You have proof of delivery; there should be a legal recourse for you to settle this issue.

Good points all. I suspect that my 2000k + posts of FFCars (formerly ffcobra) score me few points here. Know too I'm here almost each day searching and researching. The FF Type 65 I built in my garage is better because of this site.

The fact remains that the tires were misrepresented and the return was agreed to. I was screwed by DrTires. I fumbled my collection attempts and endeavor now to goad him to action.
