Default builders in OK

Hello,

Just new to the forum and I am GOING to buy one of these machines. I am in OK and I was told buy some folks a few years earlier that there was a company of cobra builders in Jay, OK that was doing replicas, but had actually bought the original pieces (forms, etc) from the factory where the originals were made.

I know that this is a little far fetched...anyone know anything about this?

Thanks
Buzz

great to be here. I can't wait to get rid of the dodge snake and get a real car! Don't get me started!!!

Welcome to the Club,

I also live in Tulsa and I own a B&B Roadster Cobra. When I was looking for a manufacturer I tried to find the guy located in Jay, Oklahoma but it was my understanding he had either scaled down his business or quit altogether. Roger Upton builds Cobras in Tulsa, but he too has scaled down his business and intends to only build two or three units a year. I also visited Lone Star in Dallas but felt his unit was not as well made as the B&B Roadster Cobra. B&B is located approximately 30 miles south of Joplin, Mo.

I encourage you to make a trip Granby, Mo. Brian Anderson and Barry McGill are the owners and offer a first class product. They also will be available for any questions you may have long after the sale. Give me a call @ 918-633-5336 or you can call B&B at 417-472-3547.

Good luck with your decision and hope to see you soon on the roads of South Tulsa.

Lightbulb RUCC

Howdy... I'm a Tulsa transplant living here in the Seattle area. I love the Tulsa !!! But, summer snake charming can be a test w/o a top at 102 degrees F!

Just thought I would mention RU Car Crafters in Sand Springs. I don't know much about them, and they do have a semi-active thread here on CC:

Best of luck with your project.

Hey Buzz, you won't believe who that was in Jay. I don't want to get into that on this forum. Call Bryan at B&B and he'll tell you.

CLOIS
So you finally got rid of that 351 Wind-o-sore and installed a real mans motor. (Is your wife going to drive it at Run-an-Gun?) Sorry! Had to! Wow, that was fast considering you were at the shop only about 2 or 3 months ago. I'd like to take some more pictures if you stop by the shop on your way up to St. Louis.

Wow a tread about B+Bs. Don't see to many. Mine should be done by the end of the month. Slow Dog I haven't seen anything from you on the forum in a while. Just talked to Karen twice on Monday. Guess I dont have a real mans motor. Jim

Slow Dog are you running a autotomatic? Maybe you should get a real man's transmission. Jim

Yup, the Dawg's turnin' into a wienie! Hey, a Wienie-Dawg! Hard to drive with two left feet. Maybe this tranny will help me harness this monster motor I'm building. Puttin' all kinds of work and money into it. Trying to get as much as 110 puppies out of it and maybe crack 23 seconds in the quarter! Don't know if I can handle it, but I'm gonna try.
